WENTZVILLE — Familiar faces and newcomers alike have filed as candidates for the Wentzville Board of Aldermen.
Filing for the April 8 election opened Dec. 10 and officially closed Tuesday at 5 p.m. for candidates hoping to win seats on city councils, school boards and other municipal government boards throughout Missouri.
In Wentzville, there will be contested races for two of the three aldermanic positions up for election this April.
Linda Roth and Chantel Summers are running for the Ward 1 seat currently held by Bryan Harr, who did not file for reelection. Ward 1 is all portions of Wentzville south of Interstate 70.
In Ward 2, incumbent Robert “Bob” Hussey filed for re-election. He is being challenged by Shayne Singleton, who unsuccessfully ran for Hussey’s seat in 2023. Hussey received 51% of the vote that year compared to Singleton’s 21% of the vote in a crowded four-person field.
