MADISON, Ill. – The Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Metro East this weekend, and NASCAR drivers won’t be the only ones making noise.
Several bands and musicians are set to perform this weekend through the Confluence Music Festival, which consists of several concerts planned around the main race this weekend.
Ticketholders to Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300 race and Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will also have access to the concerts.
Among this year’s notable names are former St. Louis Cardinals ace-turned-guitarist Adam Wainwright and rappers T-Pain and Ludacris.
Wainwright, months after his first studio album, feels prepared for his assignment Sunday. It helps that he’s played at Busch Stadium, solar eclipse parties and several other big stages.
“When I first got started, I was a little nervous going into those performances,” Wainwright recently told FOX 2. “Now, I kind of got the hang of going out there. And I love that feeling.”
Ludacris and T-Pain bring decades of experience to their scheduled shows with a combined five Grammy awards and 16 studio albums. They will perform Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, respectively. It will be a homecoming of sorts for Ludacris, born and raised in Champaign, Illinois.
Music performances scheduled through the Confluence Music Festival this weekend include the following:
SATURDAY
- Ludacris at 5:30 p.m.
- Tim Duggar & Friends at 6:30 p.m.
- Campground Concert from 8-10 p.m.
SUNDAY
- Adam Wainwright at 10:30 a.m.
- Big & Rich with Gretchen Wilson & Cowboy Tom from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- T-Pain from noon to 1 p.m.

- Riley Green (30 minutes after the race ends)
