Enjoying a couple of pleasant days, the chances of showers and storms are expected to return to the St. Louis area late Friday afternoon and continue into Saturday morning.
The day will begin with plenty of clouds and temperatures near 80 degrees. Rain is expected to move into the western counties by 4-6 p.m. on Friday, spreading east and north through the evening.
Overnight, there will be rain and some non-severe storms. Saturday morning wake-up temperatures will be in the 60s.
The steady rain will turn into scattered showers on Saturday morning and continue into the afternoon, hopefully not affecting the many events scheduled for the weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-70s.
Sunday is expected to be the best day of the weekend with partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures, reaching the low to mid-80s. Rain chances will increase again on Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday.
