Gioia’s Deli is expanding farther west in O’FALLON, Mo.
The 106-year-old Hill sandwich shop, which in recent years has added locations in Maryland Heights and Valley Park, will open a new location at 9955 Winghaven Boulevard.
Owner Alex Donley and his wife Amanda have been searching for a St. Charles County location for several years.
“Both my brothers live in St. Charles, and every time we visit, we just love the community and their eagerness to support local, family-owned businesses,” said Donley.
Gioia’s aims to open in December in O’Fallon, moving into the former location of Sugarfire Smoke House, which relocated to nearby Dardenne Prairie.
The O’Fallon location will be the fifth Gioia’s, following other locations in Macklind Avenue, Creve Coeur, Valley Park, and the walk-up window at its production facility in Maryland Heights.
Gioia’s, known for its hot salami, received the America’s Classic award from James Beard Foundation in 2017.
