O’FALLON, Mo. – A man is facing criminal charges after allegedly assaulting a mechanic at a residence in O’Fallon over a car repair issue.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Damien White, 47, with second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault as part of the ongoing investigation.
A public grand jury indictment was filed on July 11, with White’s charges stemming from February 2024.
According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, White went to a residence on Heather Drive to address issues with automobile repair work completed for his wife. When the mechanic refused to provide a refund for the work, White allegedly attacked him.
White admitted to authorities that he was trying to recover money for what he considered “unsatisfactory” auto repair and confessed to hitting, but not kicking, the mechanic, as per court records.
Court records show that the mechanic suffered a broken jaw, a potential broken nose, and a concussion as a result of the attack.
White is scheduled for an arraignment hearing in this case on Aug. 8, according to Missouri court records.
