WENTZVILLE, Mo. – A man was peacefully taken into custody after law enforcement successfully resolved a standoff situation on Monday.
According to the Wentzville Police Department, officers were called to 404 Luetkenhaus Blvd., the location of Crossroads Heritage Motel, in response to a disturbance involving a mother, her two sons, and a knife.
One of the sons had barricaded himself in a room with his mother, prompting police to call in SWAT and negotiators for assistance. After negotiations, the son exited the room and was promptly apprehended.
Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident, and the victims were offered assistance by the police.
The suspect will be facing charges from the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
