ST. LOUIS – Popeyes has now added new boneless wings to its menu permanently, available nationwide. The decision to introduce boneless wings came after careful consideration of social media discussions questioning whether boneless wings can be considered real wings.
Popeyes has noticed over 63,000 tweets expressing dislike for boneless wings. In response to this sentiment and to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day on Saturday, Popeyes is giving thousands of X users codes for free 6-piece boneless wings.
Users who receive a code must make a purchase on the Popeyes website or app on July 6 to redeem the free boneless wings.
Additionally, Popeyes Rewards members can enjoy free 6-piece boneless wings with a $10 purchase until Sunday, July 14.
The boneless wings are available in six flavors: classic, honey lemon pepper, signature hot, honey barbecue, sweet ‘n spicy, and roasted garlic parmesan.
Popeyes hopes that by giving away these boneless wings, skeptics will become “boneless believers.”
