The Rotary Club of Cottleville/Weldon Spring gathered at the Whitmore Country Club on June 26 to commemorate the achievements of the 2023-24 year and formally install new officers for the upcoming 2024-25 term.
Under the leadership of outgoing President Jamieson Crane, the club celebrated significant accomplishments, including the prestigious EREY (Every Rotary Every Year) Banner and the Foundation Banner from Rotary International. These accolades are a testament to the club’s commitment to both local and global service, with less than 10 percent of Rotary Clubs nationwide earning both banners annually.
Throughout the year, the Cottleville/Weldon Spring Rotary Club has been active in fundraising efforts to support their impactful initiatives. Events such as the fall Pecan sale and the Annual Fund for Paws Charity Dog Show, held every last Sunday in April, have been instrumental in funding local projects and international donations.
Looking ahead, newly installed President Sue Cobb expressed enthusiasm about continuing the club’s mission of service and community engagement. Weekly membership meetings are held every Wednesday at noon at Bemo’s Grill in Cottleville, providing opportunities for community members interested in joining Rotary to learn more about the organization’s initiatives and membership benefits.
