Discover a diverse array of offerings in downtown St. Charles, a place known for its beauty and history. However, one challenge remains – parking.
According to St. Charles County project manager Matt Seggerman, finding parking, especially on weekends, can be quite difficult. To address this issue, a new solution has emerged – the Park STC app.
Seggerman and Alex Weidenbenner, project managers for St. Charles County and the City of St. Charles, recently introduced the app on FOX 2 News in the Morning. The app allows users to easily locate available parking spots by zooming in on the map or entering a specific address.
The Park STC app covers 30 blocks in downtown St. Charles, providing real-time information on approximately 1,500 parking spaces. Sensors in the ground detect whether a spot is free or occupied, displaying green for available spaces and red for taken ones. Handicapped spots are highlighted in blue, while veteran reserved spots are marked in green.
Users can access the app without creating an account by selecting “Continue as Guest” on the home screen. Personal information is not collected unless a user decides to create an account. The Park STC app is now available for download on both Android and iOS devices.
